Joshua is a 2005 Bachelor of Fine Arts (Dance) graduate of the Queensland University of Technology. In 2006 Joshua joined Tasdance where he worked with Tanja Liedtke, Byron Perry and Nanette Hassall.That year he became a guest artist of dancenorth under the new directorship of Gavin Webber. Joshua later became a full time member of dancenorth for 3 years until 2009, performing in Gravity Feed, Night Café, Remember Me and the highly successful national tour of Underground. In 2008 Joshua attended Impusse Tanz in Vienna, Austria, where he participated in, and taught workshops. In 2009 he toured throughout the UK with Tanja Liedtke’s Twelfth Floor, performed in Equus with the Perth Theatre Company as both a dancer and Actor, and Gavin Webbers The Rock Show (QPAC). Joshua has worked with Expressions, Splinters Group, La Boite Theatre Company and PVC – Physical Virus Company (Germany) and has worked with independent choreographers such as Ross McCormack, Troy Mundy, Jo Stone and Paulo Castro. Joshua was a key member in the Australians in residency program at Festspielhaus Sankt Polten, Austria where they created Legless and also performed Gavin Webbers Remember Me as part of that festival. In 2013 he performed in Food Chain, by the Animal Farm Collective in the Sydney Festival, which has continued European touring produced by Performing Lines and PVC (Germany). He has also performed in Shaun Parkers & Company’s Happy as Larry in the Melbourne Dance Massive Festival, which has also toured UK and Europe. He has also worked as part of The Voyage which was an out door multi-media spectacle created by Legs on the Wall and Motionhouse UK. Joshua was the rehearsal Director for Craig Barry and Lisa Griffiths for their highly successful debut season of Side to One. Joshua’s teaching credits include forcemajeure, Shaun Parker & Company. Footnote Dance Company, New Zealand School of Dance, WAAPA, Naisda, Tanja Liedtke International Workshops, dancenorth, Buzz Dance Theatre, STRUT dance, Link Dance Company, Splinter Group and PVC.
