THE LOCK-UP
Catapult dance’s Youth Iniative: The Flipside Project (recipient: 2017 Australian Dance Award) in partnership with The Lock-Up responding to the exhibition Transmission curated by Cherie Johnson. Junior and Senior ensembles working with choreographers Cadi McCarthy, Jo Clancy (Wagana Dancers), Natasha Rogers (NAISDA) , Omer Astrachan (Israel) and Skip Willcox (Tanzcompagnie Giessen) looked at themes relating to: translations across culture, identity, and communication transpiring into a full length work that weaves its way through each venue. The Project will include original music by Newcastle composer: Zackari Watt and Gambirra and film by cinematographer: Ashley de Prazer and Alison Laird
